Nature Shake is back on Friday 5 September from 10am to 2pm!
Join us at the Wollongong Botanic Garden for Nature Shake, a schools environmental education event aimed at primary and special education students.
The program will offer a variety of fun, hand-on nature-based activities delivered by local organisations. Where students and teachers can learn about their local environment and sustainability in a festival-style atmosphere.
During the day students can enjoy:
- Bark Canoe Making with Gumarraa
- Budding Bookworms (storytime) with the Friends of Wollongong Botanic Garden
- Creek-line Critters with Green Connect
- Clean-up activities and games with Rise n' Shine
- Dingo Dog Weaving with Amethyst Downing
- Insect Investigators with University of Wollongong's Early Start
- Loose Parts Play with Junkyard Rascals
- Match the Feather Game with Illawarra Birders
- Native Bee display with Native Bees
- Nature activities with Guardians of the Grassy Woodlands
- Nature playtime with Folkplay
- Nature Shake Silent Disco with Healthy Cities
- Poem Forest writing activities with Red Room Poetry
- Rainforest activities with Rainforest Wonders
- Tree Drawing Workshop with Janine Bailey of Art of Trees.
