The Education Centre is an environmental education centre for students and visitors of all ages.
It includes the Sustainable Garden used to showcase examples and ideas for using recycled items in your own garden as well as compost bins and worm farms on display. Come and get inspired!
The Education Centre was originally built in 1921 by James Fitzgerald who named it Cratloe Cottage. Later it was used as a gardener’s residence for Gleniffer Brae Manor House. You can read more about the history of the Garden on the timeline.
Location
The Education Centre is near our Madoline Street entrance. It includes a car park, which is reserved for educational activities on weekdays (permit holders only). The car park is open to the general public on weekends.
