Free workshops
10am to 11am | Survival Shelter Building Shelter is the first priority of survival, learn how to use the natural materials around to make a simple ‘lean to’ shelter, then test it out to see if it will keep you dry. |
11am to 12pm | Navigation and Map Making How do you find your way in a natural or green space when Google maps is no help. Learn some simple navigation techniques and make a mud map to help find your way through the natural landmarks of Wollongong Botanic Garden |
12pm to 1pm | Lunch (BYO) |
1pm to 2pm | Eco Art Learn how to make an outdoor sculpture using natural materials in the local landscape. No creative or art making skills required for this fun hands-on experience. |
2pm to 3pm | Bush Tucker Trail Many of our Australian native plants have been used for thousands of years for food, medicine, fibre and shelter. During this session you'll walk through the Garden's Towri Bush Tucker Garden to learn about these plants and enjoy a cup of bush tea. |

Activities are suitable for young people aged 12 to 18 years.

Check in: Please present your ticket at the information desk located near the Garden's Education Centre at least 15 minutes before your first session commences.
