Composting Workshop

When:
10 May 24 - 10 May 24 9:30am

Would you like to learn how to turn your food scraps and garden clippings into compost?

Composting is great for the garden, great for your mind and body. It takes little effort, is achievable and gives back to the environment.

In this workshop we’ll discuss how to choose a compost bin, where to place it, what to put in and what to leave out, maintenance, how to know when it is ready, and how to use it.

This workshop will be held at the Botanic Garden's Discovery Centre.  You will be able to look at finished compost, see how to build a compost and also see how to tell when your compost is ready to use in your garden and how to use it. Best of all you may be eligible for a free compost bin. Terms and conditions apply.

Please wear enclosed shoes, sun smart clothing including a hat and a water bottle.

Visit Eventbrite to book your tickets.

The Garden Education Car Park is located off Madoline Street, Keiraville.

This event is held as part of International Compost Awareness Week. Check Council's event page to see other composting and worm farming workshops you can take part in.
