Joseph Banks sailed past the Illawarra shores in the British sailing ship the Endeavour on 27 April 1770.

Join this humourous and theatrical tour to meet this famous 18th century botanist, hear his stories and share his memories of this important voyage.

As we stroll through the glasshouse and the Garden's native plant collections you'll be part of an historical experience where we'll work out Banks' place in the history of this land.
